Do you manage a holiday park?
hoprat compares holiday parks reachable by car from Belgium and its neighbours. If your park is listed, its page was written from public information, without asking you — and without charging you anything. This page explains how to have it corrected.
What we publish about your park
- The facilities of the park, taken from your official site, with a “not verified” state when we did not find the information.
- Driving times from nineteen cities, computed without traffic, and the places to visit around the park.
- A budget estimate for three nights for four people, presented as such and dated.
- The public rating from a booking platform, quoted with its name and the date it was recorded — never recalculated by us.
- A link to your site, with no intermediary: hoprat sells no stay and takes no booking.
The details of the calculation are public. See the methodology · See the transparency page
Your questions
- How do I get information on my park's listing corrected?
- Write to us with the name of the park, the exact information to correct and what it should say. A public source — a page on your official site, an online brochure — lets us correct it straight away; without one, we remove the information rather than replace it with another we cannot verify. These requests come before the rest of the post.
- A facility is shown as absent although it exists.
- Our listings distinguish three states: present, absent, and not verified. “Not verified” means we did not find it, not that it does not exist, and that is what the listing says. If a facility is wrongly shown as absent, tell us: indoor pool, outdoor pool, spa, private sauna, kids' club, bowling, mini-market, restaurants, bike hire, dogs allowed. We correct the data, not just the sentence.
- Can I send you official photos of my park?
- Yes, and it helps: today our listings only show freely licensed photos from Wikimedia Commons and mood illustrations, which they state under each image. Send us the files or a download link, with written permission to use them on hoprat.com and the credit to display. Without that permission we do not publish: a photo whose usage rights we do not hold is a risk for you as much as for us.
- The price shown does not match your rates.
- That is expected. The amount is a hoprat estimate for three nights for four people, worked out by us to compare parks with each other; the listing says so next to the amount, with the survey date. It is never presented as a bookable rate, and the availability link goes to your site, which prevails. If the order of magnitude is plainly wrong, tell us and we will revisit it.
- Can you take my park's listing down?
- We look at every request, but the default answer is no: the listing contains only public information, it names its sources, and it sends visitors to your site with no intermediary. We do however remove, without argument, any inaccurate information, any photo whose use raises a problem, and any wording that attributes to you something you did not say.
- Do I have to pay to appear, or to rank higher?
- No, and that is not negotiable. The ranking is computed from the characteristics of the parks alone; no payment changes it, and none is accepted for that. A park can neither buy a place nor pay to push another one down.

One address, read by a human. In the form, pick the subject for reporting an error on a listing, or write directly; put the name of the park on the first line, it saves us a round trip.
