Six holiday parks under two hours from Amsterdam, and only one under an hour
Counting parks around a city does not tell you much about what you will find there. Amsterdam has six under two hours, compared to sixteen for Liège — yet the closest park to Amsterdam is better equipped than any of the top five Liège parks.

47 minutes, and ten confirmed facilities
Center Parcs De Eemhof, in Zeewolde in Flevoland, is 47 minutes from Amsterdam. It is the only park in our selection under an hour from this city. It is also one of the best equipped we have listed: indoor pool, wave pool, private sauna, kids' club, indoor play area, supermarket, bicycle rental, bowling, Wi-Fi, dogs allowed.
Its main feature is water. The resort borders the Wolderwijd, offering waterfront accommodation, a marina, boat rentals, sailing and paddleboarding on site. Walibi Holland is 36 minutes away, the Oostvaardersplassen nature reserve is 50, and Batavialand in Lelystad is 56.
Its public rating is 7.3/10 on Zoover, recorded on 9 September 2026 — the lowest of the six parks in this area. The platform does not display the number of reviews it is based on, and we do not invent it.

The Veluwe at 1h 16m, for a completely different weekend
The second park, Landal Miggelenberg (1h 16m), is in Hoenderloo, in the heart of the Veluwe. It ticks nine facilities, but its main appeal lies outside. De Hoge Veluwe National Park is 19 minutes away, the Kröller-Müller Museum is 15, Apenheul is 17, Het Loo Palace is 22, and Arnhem is 25. Deer and wild boar roam the surrounding area.
This park has no confirmed public rating in our data. This is the case for fifteen of the parks analysed in detail. These are mostly German and French parks, which get less coverage on Dutch-speaking platforms. We prefer to state this rather than use a figure without a source. For a stay where the park is just a base to visit a national park and two museums, this is a relative drawback.
The next four: between 1h 42m and 1h 57m
Past the Veluwe, you have to head south or towards the coast, entering the bracket of just under two hours.
- Center Parcs Port Zélande (1h 42m) — beach a five-minute walk away, Aqua Mundo with wave pool, kitesurfing at Brouwersdam 8 min away, seal safari 8 min away. Rated 8.2/10 on Zoover.
- Center Parcs De Kempervennen (1h 52m) — the only park in our selection with indoor skiing, plus the Aqua Mundo and a private sauna. Rated 7.7/10 on Zoover based on 3,367 reviews, the highest volume in our selection.
- Landal Het Vennenbos (1h 57m) — indoor pool, wave pool, outdoor pool, indoor play area and bowling. Efteling 48 min away. Rated 8.3/10 on Zoover based on 2,289 reviews: the best in the area.
- Center Parcs Het Heijderbos (1h 57m) — indoor pool with wave pool, kids' club, indoor play area, dogs allowed. Rated 7.7/10 on Zoover.
Het Vennenbos and Het Heijderbos are exactly the same distance away, at 1h 57m, with a difference of 0.6 in their public ratings: 8.3 versus 7.7 on Zoover. When two parks are at the same distance, this is what is left to help you choose.
Why so few parks around Amsterdam?
This is because holiday parks follow forests, lakes and coasts, while Amsterdam is surrounded by polders, urban areas and infrastructure. The three main areas in our selection — the Dutch Kempen and Brabant, the Ardennes, and the Eifel — are all to the south or south-east. Amsterdam looks at them from afar.

See the parks from Amsterdam →The verdict, if one is needed
For a short weekend, De Eemhof is hard to beat: 47 minutes, ten facilities, and water everywhere. Its rating is the lowest of the six, but it is based on a platform that does not display its review volume. This should be read as a weak signal, not a final verdict. If you are staying longer and nature is your priority, Miggelenberg puts De Hoge Veluwe National Park and the Kröller-Müller Museum less than twenty minutes away. If you are willing to drive for two hours, Landal Het Vennenbos offers the best rating in the area. For a verified price, the closest priced parks to Amsterdam, outside the selection analysed here, are EuroParcs. These include EuroParcs Het Amsterdamse Bos (€404 for three nights and four people, 22 minutes away), EuroParcs Spaarnwoude (€313, 23 minutes away) and EuroParcs Buitenhuizen (€365, 28 minutes away), as recorded in September 2026.
